WAYS TO GIVE

Haynes Family of Programs relies on your gift to reach annual goals for all of our programs. While we receive funds from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, school districts, and the State Department of Mental Health, these payments do not adequately cover the entire cost of the services we provide, as we work to strengthen the mind and spirit of our very special children.

Facilities/Location

Adopt-A-Cottage: we have six residential cottages that are home to 12 boys each. You or your group can volunteer in many ways: including hosting movie and game nights, celebrating birthdays and holidays, providing cottage necessities and furnishings, and more.

Corporate or Group Volunteer Days: Sweat equity translates into a nurturing environment for our children. Companies and organizations can host a day of volunteer services at our agency. Whether it’s painting, planting, or just plain fun, we have a project that will help your organization to make a significant impact on our children.

Speakers: Motivational speakers and business professionals interested in sharing their stories or providing career path information are always needed to help our youth chart a path for lifelong success.

Recreation: Enjoy the opportunity to teach or lead fitness, crafts, music, drama, or other enrichment activities. Help us connect children with interest that they find meaningful and exciting to do in their leisure hours.

Mentors: Male mentors ages 21 and over can help our children at this pivotal juncture in their lives. A one-year commitment is required, but will result in a lifetime of promise for youth who need stability and encouragement.

Holiday Gifts: What with the holidays being without gifts and celebratory cheer? Your help is needed to provide gifts, as well as to organize and wrap presents during November and December.

Fundraising: If you have a knack for raising funds or have community connections you’d like to share, we welcome your support!

Special Events Committee: each year we host three main fundraising events: a golf tournament, designer bag BINGO and a charity bike ride. Volunteers help to ensure that these events increase awareness of our mission, while raising critical needed funds.
